What is MappaMedica?
MappaMedica is a public directory of healthcare professionals: it helps you find doctors and other professionals by specialty, symptom, name, or city, with no registration and no personal data collected from people searching.
How does search work?
You can search by specialty, symptom, professional's name, or city. Search is semantic: it understands natural-language descriptions too (e.g. "back pain") and returns only professionals who are actually relevant, not just the closest matches available.
I'm a healthcare professional — how do I get listed?
Fill in the submission form on the "For professionals" page: name and specialty are the only required fields, everything else (contact details, locations, hours, education, photo, FAQs) is optional and entirely up to you. Your submission is reviewed by an administrator before it goes live.
Are the reviews shown on profiles real?
Yes: when a professional links their Google profile, we show the real rating and reviews fetched live from Google. We never publish fabricated reviews or ratings, and we never store them in our own database.
I'm a professional and want my listing removed — how do I do that?
Contact us using the details in our privacy policy. We act on a removal request without undue delay and within 30 days at the latest: the listing is delisted and, where requested, the data is permanently erased.
